Bringing History to Life Through Story, Place, and Learning
We help schools engage pupils through story led, place based learning. Using local history, creative storytelling, and curriculum aligned activities, we turn the places pupils know into powerful learning experiences that support understanding, curiosity, and discussion in the classroom.

The Challenge Schools Face
Schools are under pressure to deliver engaging learning while meeting curriculum requirements, managing limited time, and supporting pupils with a wide range of needs.
Local history and enrichment are often expected, but not always resourced. Teachers need materials that are ready to use. Senior leaders need confidence that learning is purposeful, inclusive, and impactful.
-
Engagement drops when learning feels disconnected from pupils’ lives.
-
Local history can be overlooked or difficult to resource well.
-
Teachers need low preparation, high value materials.
-
Trusts and leaders need evidence of learning impact.

Our Approach
Story First
We use narrative to spark curiosity and support understanding. Story helps pupils remember, question, and connect ideas, especially in history and humanities.
Place Based Learning
Local places create relevance and meaning. When pupils learn about the places they know, history becomes real, personal, and memorable.
Curriculum Aligned
Every resource is designed to support National Curriculum outcomes, classroom practice, and teacher confidence. Learning always comes before technology.

Featured Classroom Story
Warrington Castle, the Lost Norman Stronghold
Warrington once had a Norman castle that played an important role in controlling the north west of England after 1066. Although the castle no longer survives above ground, evidence from maps, records, and the landscape allows historians to piece together its story.
This story introduces pupils to:
-
The Norman Conquest.
-
Why castles were built.
-
How historians investigate the past using evidence.
It forms the basis of our free KS2 Classroom Starter Pack, designed to be used immediately by teachers with minimal preparation.
