ABOUT AVIMMERSE
We are AVimmerse.
A creative technology studio exploring how people connect to place, history, and story.
AVimmerse is a creative technology studio led by Keith Myers. We work at the intersection of immersive media, storytelling, and heritage to help organisations create meaningful digital experiences rooted in real places and real communities.

Our work spans museums, churches, education providers, councils, and cultural organisations who want to use digital tools thoughtfully, not as gimmicks, but as a way to deepen understanding, connection, and belonging.
Why AVimmerse Exists
AVimmerse was founded on a simple belief:
technology should help people feel more connected to the world around them,
not further removed from it.
Over the past decade, immersive technology has become more powerful and more accessible, but too often it is used without purpose. Our focus is on using immersive media in service of story, place, and people.

We create experiences that help audiences:
-
Rediscover overlooked histories.
-
Understand the significance of the places they live in or care for.
-
Engage with heritage in ways that feel human, grounded, and lasting.
Whether through digital interpretation, immersive learning, or place based storytelling, our work is designed to support long-term value rather than short-term spectacle.
ABOUT
From Studio to Practice
AVimmerse began as a production-led immersive studio, delivering high-quality AR, VR, 360 video, and interactive experiences for a wide range of clients.

Over time, our practice evolved.

Through sustained work in heritage, education, and public engagement, including long-term research-led projects such as the Warrington Castle Project, our focus has shifted towards helping organisations ask better questions about why they are using digital technology and what impact it should have.

Today, AVimmerse operates as a creative partner rather than a traditional agency. We combine storytelling, technical expertise, and contextual understanding to design experiences that are appropriate to their audience, setting, and purpose.
What We Do
Our work typically falls into five connected areas:
Immersive Heritage & Interpretation
Digital storytelling and immersive interpretation for museums, historic sites, churches, and cultural organisations.
Place Based Storytelling
Projects that connect digital content to physical locations, landscapes, and communities.
Immersive Learning & Education
Creative technology workshops, learning resources, and experiences for schools, universities, and educators.
Public Engagement & Participation
Tools and experiences that support community engagement, consultation, and shared ownership of local stories.
Creative Technology Strategy
Helping organisations make informed decisions about immersive media, avoiding hype and focusing on value, longevity, and accessibility.

Technology is always chosen to suit the story, not the other way around.

How We Work
We believe strong digital experiences come from:
-
Listening carefully to context.
-
Respecting existing knowledge and expertise.
-
Working collaboratively rather than prescriptively.
AVimmerse often works in partnership with curators, educators, heritage professionals, researchers, and communities to ensure projects are grounded, inclusive, and sustainable.
Many of our projects begin with small pilots or exploratory phases, allowing ideas to be tested and refined before scaling.
Trusted by Cultural, Educational, and Public Institutions
We are trusted by leading education providers, public institutions, and brands to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work that balances creativity with rigour.

Our experience spans heritage, education, health, engineering, and the public sector, with a consistent focus on clarity, care, and impact.
