Preserving Indigenous Cultural Heritage Through Videogame Technology

As part of the Heritage and Technology discussion series, designer, artist and game developer Juan Hiriart shared his work exploring how videogame technologies can support the preservation and interpretation of Indigenous cultural heritage.

Drawing on his project with the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island, Juan’s talk examines how interactive media can be used responsibly to represent culture, knowledge and identity, while respecting community context and meaning.
